Egalitarian judgment aggregation

Abstract Egalitarian considerations play a central role in many areas of social choice theory. Applications egalitarian principles range from ensuring everyone gets an equal share cake when deciding how to divide it, guaranteeing balance with respect gender or ethnicity committee elections. Yet, the approach has received little attention judgment aggregation—a powerful framework for aggregating logically interconnected issues. We make first steps towards filling that gap. introduce axioms capturing two classical interpretations egalitarianism aggregation and situate these within context existing pertinent belief merging. then explore relationship between several notions strategyproofness theory at large. Finally, novel rule stems our analysis; we present complexity results concerning both outcome determination strategic manipulation rule.
